About Us

Kwame and Wanzilū are parents to three book-loving children who have helped them rediscover their love for reading.

In their careers spanning over 20 years, they have had the opportunity to write Kenyan children's books, teach animation and film studies, produce educational TV shows for kids and African animated content.

Together, they have started Dala Library to honor their parents - avid readers and firm believers in the power of education, their children through whom this dream is realized, and their dala, from where they are rooted and to whom they give back.

Dala Library is one step in a series of many toward a greater future for the children from dala. We invite you to join us on this journey.
